2023 SCHOOL FEES & LEVIES
Facilitating high quality learning experiences in a stimulating and safe environment for all students at St Patrick’s Primary School comes at an economic cost that Commonwealth and State government grants alone do not cover. Like other Catholic education providers, we work in partnership with families and rely on their financial contributions to bring the vision and mission of the school to life.
The School Fee Structure has been set for 2023. It includes School Fees (per family tiered for 1, 2 and 3+ child families). Student Levies are structured to include a Curriculum, ICT, Sport, Excursion & Other Levy and a Camp Levy.
In 2023 the family fees have increased by around 3% in line with the Educational Consumer Price Index (CPI).
Student levies have increased by $40, from $510 to $550.
Family Fees
In 2023, the Family Fees will be:
1 child – $1,040
2 children – $1,144
3 or more children – $1,248
Curriculum, ICT, Sport and Excursion Levy
This levy covers part of the cost of supplies and resources for classrooms and specialist classes, e.g. Art, Drama, Library and Italian. It assists the school to provide computers and iPads for use across the school. It also assists Excursions and Physical Education Programs.
The cost per student is $550
Camp Levy
This levy covers part of the costs associated with the provision of Camps.
The cost per student is as follows:
Foundation – $40
Grade 1 – $40
Grade 2 – $60
Grade 3/4 – $220
Grade 5/6 – $280
Payment of School Fees and Levies
The range of educational opportunities and experiences has been offered within the context of our budgeting. It will therefore be important that payment of fees and levies are honoured. We are very aware of the rising costs for families and this is given careful consideration in the process of setting school fees and levies. However due to Government school funding agreements, there is an expectation that Catholic school communities contribute to the cost of education.
In order to assist families, we encourage payment via direct debit. This allows for regular payments to be made equally over the 40 school weeks. Direct debit request forms are available from the office.
Please note: If your current payment arrangement is direct debit you will receive a letter shortly with your revised payment amount for the following year.
We understand that sometimes financial hardship may arise and thus impact on a family’s ability to make their contribution. If a family is in this situation they are encouraged to promptly make contact with the Principal to work toward a resolution and discuss the availability of further assistance.
